Call for Abstracts
The Canadian Nutrition Society will issue a Call for Abstracts on November 1, 2024 for poster presentations at the CNS Annual Conference.
IMPORTANT DATES
Dates subject to change
- November 1, 2024 - CNS will issue the Call for Abstracts and the submission portal will be live.
- January 31, 2025 - 11:59PM ET - Abstract Submission Deadline. This deadline is FIRM in order to be published in the journal of Applied Physiology, Nutrition and Metabolism (APNM).
- February 14, 2025 - Call for Late-breaking Abstracts (including encore abstracts*) with a submission deadline of March 13, 2025
- March 12, 2025 - Notification to abstract authors of review results (abstract is accepted / not accepted).
- March 17, 2025 - Notification to late-breaking abstract authors of review results (abstract is accepted / not accepted).
- March 21, 2025 - Presenting authors of accepted abstracts must RSVP to CNS indicating their acceptance to participate in the Poster Expo (those who do not respond will be removed from the abstract program).
- March 25, 2025 - Early-bird registration deadline for all conference attendees. Abstract authors are required to register to attend the full conference.
- April 15, 2025 - Deadline for all presenting authors to register to attend the CNS Annual Conference (those who do not register by this date will be removed from the abstract program and from APNM).
- April 25, 2025 - Posters should be uploaded to the CNS Virtual Poster Expo.
- April 30, 2025 - CNS launches the Virtual Poster Expo to allow advanced viewing of conference posters.
- May 8, 2025 - Poster set up at the Hotel Bonaventure Montréal.
- May 8-10, 2025 - CNS Annual Conference in Montréal.
* Encore Abstracts - abstracts that have been submitted elsewhere or previously published will be accepted for consideration during the "Call for Late-Breaking abstracts" that will be announced on February 15 with a submission deadline of March 13, 2025. Late-breaking / Encore Abstracts will NOT be eligible for CNS abstract awards or published in APNM.
