Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming nutrition research, offering powerful tools for data analysis, predictive modeling, and personalized nutrition strategies. A comprehensive understanding of the effects of nutrients, individual foods, and overall dietary patterns on health is essential, incorporating insights from basic, clinical, and population health research. Multidisciplinary work is becoming increasingly important to solve the complex challenges of this growing sector, and to maximize real-world applications and benefits for populations. This interactive workshop will introduce trainees and early career researchers to AI applications in nutrition science, covering theoretical concepts and hands-on exercises. Participants will explore how AI and more particularly machine learning (ML) can enhance research in -omics sciences, nutritional epidemiology, public health, and behavioral nutrition. Graduate students and early career researchers will better understand the potential of AI and ML-based in streamlining their research processes, enhancing data analysis, and identifying trends in large datasets. This event is supported by the CIHR INMD Training and Community Support Grant and by the Centre Nutrition, santé et société (NUTRISS), Laval University.
